A Scott Garcia design masterclass offers students a fresh way to transfer school skills and knowledge into a real life setting, providing a space to develop design skills and expand knowledge for future learning.

 

Participants work with Scott Garcia, a design professional, through a range of carefully crafted design tasks. Students are encouraged to work in an innovative and practical way taking ideas from initial concept development right through to verbal and visual presentation in front of an audience.  The workshop introduces a broad range of contemporary design and explores the processes involved in working as a professional designer.  Group working, in an intense workshop scenario adds another dimension to the educational experience.  Throughout the session students will be introduced to the key stages of the design process and shown ways to apply them to their own designs.

 

Masterclasses can be tailored to suit all levels of ability and group sizes.
